Acey Lee Carter was born May 12, 1951, in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Robert Lee Carter and Lillie Mae Carter. He departed this life on Monday, November 29, 2010, in Manahawkin, NJ. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, cousin and an awesome grandfather. Acey Carter was a long time resident of Atlantic City, NJ. To all his friends who loved him, he was known as "Joe". Acey leaves to cherish his fond memories: two sons, Acey and Darry Carter of Richmond, VA; one daughter Charlean Bennett (Tasheen) of Brooklyn, NY; one brother Leroy Carter of Atlantic City, NJ; two sisters, Louise Carter of Atlanta, GA and Easter Barksdale of Richmond, VA; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Billy Jr. and Lewis Carter both of Virginia.
