Obituary of Marguerite Helen Nottage

Marguerite Helen Nottage was born June 21, 1926, in Orange, New Jersey to the late Mable Louise Bonner. She departed this life on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, in the Atlantic City Medical Center � Mainland Campus in Galloway, New Jersey. She attended Oakwood Avenue Public School and graduated from Orange High School in Orange, New Jersey. She married Theodore Roosevelt Cabell in 1944. From this union she was blessed with two children: Anita Elaine and Gary Junius. In 1957, she married Edward L. Jackson and had another daughter, Sharon Jean. Marguerite was employed by Nightcraft Clothing in Orange and later by Macy's Department Store in Newark. She attended Mount Live Baptist Church in Orange and was baptized under the Pastorate of Rev. J. H. Anderson. She had a beautiful, melodious voice and sang on the Senior Choir for many years. "Mommy Doll" as she was called by her family and friends was a kind, soft spoken and an affectionate person. To know her was truly to love her. In March of 2010, she moved from Orange to Pleasantville, New Jersey to live with her daughter, Anita and remained with her until her death. Mommy Doll leaves to mourn her loss: two daughters, Evangelist Anita Sutton of Pleasantville and Sharon Jackson of Wilkinsberg, Pennsylvania; son, Gary Cabell of White Fish , Montana; grandchildren, Charlene Cabell and Jackson Brown, both of Pleasantville and Christopher Carson of East Orange, New Jersey and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
