Obituary of Lola Mae Brown

Lola Mae Brown, 73, of Atlantic City, was born August 19, 1937 in Barnswell, Sc to Mancefield and Rosalee Scott, who have predeceased her. She departed this world on Monday, November 1, 2010 after battling a lengthy illness. Lola, who was affectionately known as "Lu", attended Atlantic City Public Schools. She was a registered nurse at Shore Memorial Hospital and also worked as a private duty nurse for most of her career. Lu was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She would help anyone. And everyone understood she was "the boss." Lola's favorite pastime was playing good music while cooking something good in the kitchen. She leaves to cherish her memory: beloved companion, Sam; sons, Clarence "Mann", and Earl; daughters, Renee and Jennifer; granddaughters, Tiffani, Itka and Brittany; grandson, Erick; great-grandson, aunt, Gertrude Harewood-Jenkins; Sahmad; a devoted niece, Melvina; nephew, Gregory; and a host of other family and friends.
