Obituary of Helen Tolbert

Helen Tolbert, 91, of Atlantic City, passed away peacefully on Sunday Sept. 5th 2010, at AtlanitCare RegionalMedical Center in Atlantic City. "Funny", as she was affectionately called by family members was the Matriarch of the Tolbert Family. She was born and raised in Birmingham, AL, to Joe and Callie Tolbert. Ms. Tolbert worked for years as a foster grandparent at the Martin Luther King Jr. School Complex & Oceanside Charter School. Helen is predeceased by her son Sidney Demoulin Jr.; brothers, Jimmy and Joe Tolbert Jr.; sisters, Eleanor Odom, Ruby Miller and Annie Crockett. She is survived by: son, Ronald Demoulin (Patricia Lively) of Egg Harbor Township; her daughter, Patricia Demoulin of Atlantic City; sisters, Gertha Tolbert of Pleasantville, and Lula Jeffries of Virginia; brothers, Eddie Tolbert (Martha) of Philadelphia, Frank Tolbert (Leatha) of Atlantic City, Clarence Tolbert of Cleveland Ohio; grandchildren, Rhonda (Robin) Demoulin, Patrice Demoulin, Ronald (Boy) Demoulin III all of Egg Harbor Township, Natasha (Mouth) Demoulin of Atlantic City, and Latoya Cannon of Trenton, N.J.; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. A host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends as well as the entire Brights Villa Complex.
