Obituary of Leroy Norwood

Leroy Norwood, Jr., age sixty, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, departed this life on Saturday, May 22, 2010, in Cape May, New Jersey. He was born on July 4, 1949, to the late Raplh Norwood and Beatrice (nee Townsend) Smith in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He attended the Atlantic City public school system. Leroy served his country in the United States Army and was honorably dishcarged. He was lastly employed by McDonald's Restaurant. He is survived by: one son, Nigel Norword of New York State, his mother, Beatrice Smith of Atlantic City, six sisters, Beatrice Murrel (Brady) of Atlantic City, Linda Jones (Adolphus) of Pleasantville, Donna White of Galloway, Paula Smith-Perry, Brenda Bediako (Bernard), and Darla Jean Smith, all of Atlantic City; three brothers, Raymond Norwood (Pauline) and Randy Smith, both of Atlantic City and Lester Muhammad of Chicago, Illinios; one grandchild, Sony Rae Schell of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two aunts, Marie Peters and Virginia Townsend; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
