Obituary of Renia A. Goddard

Renia A Goddard, joined the ancestors on March 26, 2010, at the Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by her family. an Atlantic City native, Renia was born on January 29, 1947, to Richard and Helen Goddard-Young, and Christened at Saint Augustine Episcopal and Saint Monica's Roman Catholic churches. She graduated in the class of 1965 from Atlantic City High School and loved to play her violin in the school orchestra and the piano at home. Renia loved in New York for nearly forty years and for ten years, was a Ward Secretary at the Bronx Veterans Hospital and earned a degree in Fine Arts from Mercy College in Bronxville, New York. Renia was predeceased by her parents, brother, Anthony Goddard; and nephew, Richardson(who was born on her birthday in 1980). Renia leaves to mourn: three sisters, Dr. Richlyn Goddard (Atlantic City), Estrella (Fred) Quijano (Scotch Plains, New Jersey) and Chona Benetiz(Manila); six brothers, Lee Paul (ChenFe), Lee Edward (Christina) Young, (Long Island, New York), Lee Dan Young, (Dallas, Texas), Richard, Jr., James, and Harlot Goddard; "Mom" Thelma Goddard, all of Pleasantville; Uncle Bob Hammond (Temple hills, Maryland); five nieces, Tishalla, Heidi, Katrina, Antoine, and Maria; three grand-nieces, Bashirah, Brionna, and Chyna; six nephews, Orkeem, Cameron, Bashar, Jonathon, Eric, and Andrew. Renia also leaves a host of cousins in New York, Philadelphia, and Maryland and many cherished friends near and far.
