Obituary of Carl Joshua Sutton-Epps

Carl Joshua Sutton-Epps was born February 14, 1990 in Cape May Courthouse New Jersey to Carl and Tina Sutton-Epps. Carl Joshua Sutton-Epps, �CJ� as he was so affectionately called, attended St. Peters School from Kindergarten through 8th grade. During his time at St. Peters he played football for the Pleasantville �Jokers�. He also ran track and received many awards for his track performances. He graduated from Egg Harbor Township High School in 2008. CJ enjoyed his life; he loved all his family and friends. His passion for music grew through the years to the point where he was able to make two CD�s, while working at Seabrook Brothers of Bridgeton, New Jersey. His love of other outdoor activities included basketball, boating and fishing with �his� Dad and Godfather Yusef. He departed this life on August 22, 2010, He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Tina Sutton-Epps;father, Carl E. Epps; two sisters, Imari, attending college in Virginia and Infinity of New Jersey; brother, Christopher (Liz) of California; maternal grandmother, Minnie Sutton of Jamaica, New York; great-grandmother Ethel Heckstall of Newport News, Virginia; and paternal grandmother Lois Bowen of Astoria, New York. Nine aunts, Deanna, Dianne (Rick), Judy, Helen, Latifah (Hassan) all of New York, Loretta and Carol (John) of Virginia, Gloria of North Carolina and Yvonne of California. Four Uncles, Elvis (Donna) of New Castle, Delaware, Darrel of Maryland, Jonathan of New York and James of North Carolina; two Godfathers Yusef Benjamin (Lessie) of Vineland, New Jersey, and Glenn Taylor of Jamaica, New York. Special Aunt & Uncle, Sharon and Jay Smith of New Jersey; three God Brothers, Tyray Earl, Julius Coleman of New York, and Dominic Barksdale of New Jersey; God Sister Maurissia Miller of New Jersey; as well as a host of special cousins, family, friends and good neighbors. He is predeceased by his grandfathers, Joseph Sutton and Edward Epps. CJ will be missed by all.
