Clorice Davis, nee Fernandez, of Atlantic City, went home to be with the Lord with her loving family by her side on Monday, May 10, 2010. Mrs. Davis was born in Shelby, NC, to Charlie and Cora (Huddleston) Fernandez. She was a resident of Atlantic City for more than 50 years. She was predeceased by: her loving husband, Frederick "Freddie" Davis and brother, Obe Fernandez. Clorice is survived by her loving family: daughters, Cassandra and Cynthia Davis of Atlantic City; foster daughter, Sarafina Stevenson of Brigantine; sisters, Darcus Paysour of Charlotte, NC, Texas Sutson of Blacksburg, SC, Shirlee Fernandez, Betty F. Carson (Benny), and Mary Carson (Russell) all of Shelby, NC; sisters-in-law, Barbara Porcher and Doris Patterson of Atlantic City and Ruth A. Johnson of Philadelphia; foster granddaughter, Sasha Stevenson; God-children, Terry Preston, Jerry Black and Eve Crumble; and a host of other loving family and friends.
