Obituary of Leroy Norwood Jr.

Leroy Norwood, Jr. age sixty, of Atlantic City, departed this life on Saturday, May 22, 2010, in Cape May. He was born July 4, 1949, to the late Ralph Norwood and Beatrice(nee Townsend) Smith in Atlantic City, NJ. He attended the Atlantic City Public School System. Leroy served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He was lastly employed by McDonalds's Restaurant. He is survived by: son, Nigel Norwood of New York State; mother, Beatrice Smith of Atlantic City; sisters, Beatrice Murrel (Brady) of Atlantic City, Linda Jones (Adolphus) of Pleasantville, Donna White of Galloway, Paula Smith-Perry of Atlantic City, and Brenda Bediako (Bernard), Darla Jean Smith all of Atlantic City; brothers, Raymond Norwood (Pauline), Randy Smith both of Atlantic City, and Lester Muhammad of Chicago, IL; grandchild, Sony Rae Schell of Philadelphia, PA; aunts, Marie Peters and Virginia Townsend; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
