Obituary of Glenn Terrence Washington
Please share a memory of Glenn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Glenn Terrence Washington, 55, of Hamilton Township, New Jersey was born on July 25, 1967, in Hammonton, New Jersey to Elizabeth and Booker T.
Washington. He was the youngest of nine siblings.
He graduated from Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing, New Jersey. He furthered his education at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Glenn was affectionately known as "Pop" or "Daddio". From the start of his life, he had a passion for football and kept his head in the game. He was a loving football
coach who cared for his players on and off the field. He wouldn't rest until everyone was taken care of. His light shined so brightly that it touched anyone with whom he was able to have a conversation. He spread the Word of God and spread the joy of laughter. If anyone knew Glenn, they would know that his heart was filled with the Lord and Family.
In honor of his memory Glenn Washington is survived by: his daughter, Avery B. Washington with her son, Joziah of Weymouth, New Jersey; six brothers, Michael Washington of Pleasantville, New Jersey, David Washington of Crestview, Florida, Ralph Washington of Florida, Lawrence Washington of Weymouth, New Jersey,
Ranford Washington of Newtonville, New Jersey and Jeffrey B. Washington of Weymouth, New Jersey; aunt, Odessa Smith of Weymouth, New Jersey; and a host of other family and friends.
He is predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth and Booker T. Washington; sister, Deborah Washington; and brother, Carl B. Washington.
Glenn Washington was one of the Lord's strongest soldiers. We can rest assured knowing that he is exactly where he needs to be with our one true Father above.
Glenn's words and wisdom will continue to sew in all who were touched by him.
Funeral services will be 11AM, Saturday, March 18, 2023, Bethel Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, 8th Street, Newtonville, New Jersey, where friends may call from 9AM. Interment to follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Newtownville.
