Obituary of Mary Margaret McGhee

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary Margaret McGhee passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Monday, February 26, 2023, at the age of 65. She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, raised in New Rochelle, New York, and eventually moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey to begin a more than thirty-year career at Resorts International Casino Hotel. Her tremendous sense of humor and kind nature will live on in our hearts. She was able to find humor in a variety of situations, which kept everyone around her laughing. Mary was known for her contagious laugh, upbeat personality, and humorous stories that she delighted in sharing with everyone she encountered. She knew how to make people smile. When she wasn't sharing stories and making people laugh, she enjoyed taking long summer strolls on the Boardwalk and creating stunning artwork using a variety of mediums. Mary is survived by: two brothers, Christopher McGhee and Ulysses McGhee; three sisters, Ella D. McGhee, Charlotte (Akhere) Ighoroje, and Danielle Minor; five nieces, Jetaya McGhee, Brandy Vaughn, Jaime Cooper, Jasmin Stancil, and Christina Stancil; three nephews, Ulysses McGhee, Wesley McGhee, Christopher McGhee; one great niece, Kayla McGhee, and two great nephews, Cairo Cooper-Benoit, and Shiron McGhee. Mary was preceded in death by: her mother, Mary Minor; stepfather, Thomas Minor; father, Wesley McGhee; and brother, Harold McGhee.
