Obituary of Maggie Walls

Maggie Walls was born January 29, 1946 in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Lillie Mae (Sherman) and Robert Blake, Sr. She went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Maggie attended the Atlantic City public schools and worked many years as a nurse's aide at Seashore Gardens in Galloway, New Jersey. After retiring from Seashore Gardens, Maggie worked parttime at the Atlantic City High School as a substitute custodian for the Atlantic City Board of Education. Maggie was a member of the Venice Park United Methodist Church in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where she served on the usher board. She loved her family. She was a great mother, grandmother and sister. In her leisure time, Maggie loved to play cards, bowl, dance and listen to music. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Richard Lee Walls; parents, Lillie and Robert Blake; brothers, Robert, Jr., Joseph, William and David Blake; sisters, Mary Moore, Anne Jones, Ethel Rattray, Ida Willis and Diane Rice. Maggie leaves to cherish her fond memories: her daughter, Donna Marie Lopez; sisters, Lillie Blake and Evelyn Willis; brother-in-law, Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Walls (Ernestine); sister-in-law, Floretta Walls; grandchildren, Sahir, Shabria and Chardalee Lopez; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Lopez and Cali Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 11AM Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Venice Park United Methodist Church, 2015 Morningside Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey, where family and friends may view from 10AM to 11AM.
