Beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend Theodore "Ted" Roosevelt Bonner, Jr., 62, transitioned on January 9, 2023, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Ted was born on November 21, 1960, in Newark, New Jersey to Sadie and Theodore Bonner, Sr. Ted was from South Orange, New Jersey. He attended and graduated from Seton Hall Preparatory School in South Orange, New Jersey. While at Seton Hall Prep he earned the distinction of being the first african american captain of the school's varsity basketball team. Ted furthered his education at William Paterson College in Wayne, New Jersey. While attending William Paterson College he majored in communications, he played varsity basketball, sang with the gospel choir, and was initiated into Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. When thinking about Ted, you will remember him as kind. He believed in the living God. He had a great sense of humor, and was always willing to help. He was a member of Faith Temple in Atlantic City. Ted was a gifted singer and his favorite songs were: "Jesus Is My Help" by Hezekiah Walker, "My Soul is Anchored in the Lord" by Douglas Miller, and "Blessed Trinity".
