Please share a memory of Lemar to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved Lemar Johnathan Burton, 43 of Atlantic City, New Jersey, who was better known as "JB", went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2023. Johnathan was born on October 11, 1979, to Arleen Hymes Burton and John Burton. Both of his parents were from Atlantic City. Johnathan who was known by some as "Jigga", which was a nickname given to him by his mother, Johnathan attended Atlantic City High School. He had occupations in the Atlantic City Casino Industry and other jobs in the Atlantic City. JB had a personality that came with plenty of laughs and a hear as big as the sky. JB loved to cook and loved to eat. He was a gentle giant and a big loveable Teddy Bear. Our beloved Johnathan will be missed deeply and loved forever. Johnathan leaves behind to cherish his memories: his daughter, Kyss Burton of Atlantic City and her mother, Sakia Hall; sisters, Wendy O'Briant (George) of Ashville, North Carolina, Angela Burton of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Serena Sam of Baltimore, Maryland, Angelette Burton of Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Malinda Herron of Atlantic City, New Jersey; brothers, Wayne Burton, John "Yah Yah" Burton and Marcus Burton, all of Atlantic City, New Jersey; and a total of 23 siblings; a host of other family and friends. JB is predeceased by: his parents, Arleen and John Burton; sisters, Queenie Jones and Markita Whitting; brother, Carl Lynn Redd. Johnathan loved to laugh. He was a true "Momma's Boy." But Kyss was "Daddy's Little Girl" who he loved with all of his heart. Johnathan was a protector. He was a loveable and giving person. He defended what was right – even though at times he went left, Johnathan stayed close to God. Funeral services will be 11AM, Saturday, January 21, 2023, Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, New Jersey, where friends may call from 10AM.
