Obituary of Kathleen Burnside

Kathleen Burnside, age 77, was born July 12, 1945, in Atlantic City, New Jersey to the late Wesley L. Jones, Sr. and Helen (Heavlow) Jones. She passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, September 8, 2022, in her home in Galloway Township, NJ. She was educated in the Atlantic City Public School system and had various jobs throughout the City of Atlantic City. Kathleen was predeceased by: her parents; brother, Wesley Jones, Jr.; two sisters, Arbutus Jones, and Edith Garrison. She will be greatly missed by: her six children, Carmen Virgil of Atlantic City, NJ, Isaac Johnson (Tracy) of Pleasantville, NJ, Valerie Showell (Arnold) of Lithonia, GA, Donald Burnside, II of Galloway, NJ, Karen Burnside of Absecon, NJ, and Wayne J. Burnside (Ulyssa) of Pomona, NJ; two sisters, Elder Yvonne Hollis of Atlantic City, NJ and Helen A. Jones of Atlantic City, NJ; her brother, Wayne Jones of Downingtown, PA; special sister/cousin, Theodora Robinson of Mays Landing, NJ; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted children, and friends. Funeral services will be 11AM, Thursday, September 15, 2022, Mount Zion Baptist Church, 353 New Road, Pleasantville, New Jersey, where friends may call from 9AM. Interment to follow in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, New Jersey.
