"A candle loses nothing, when it lights another candle". CC was a delightful co-worker when I met him at work at Atlantic County Government. He was supportive and always a Gentleman. He was like a candle bringing light into the room. I am sad to learn that he passed away. May he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to the Davenport Family. My heart is truly broken. You were a job to work with and a wonderful friend. I loved your smile. At work you had a work wife, a sister, a fantasy and a queen. I will miss you always.

I had the pleasure of meeting CC when i worked for Avis Rent A Car along with his father. I have since worked with him at Atlantic County for over 20 years. CC was a funny and generous person. He could meet you on several levels: whether is was work, Bible or just life we could discuss anything. He had in infectious laugh and enjoyed life. His presence will be greatly missed. To Clarence's family, you are in my prayers.

To the Family of "Mr. Davenport" (as I affectionately called him):
While we know that losing a beloved soul such as his is never an easy task, I pray that these words help you on your way from day to day. Clarence was the best. He always had a good word or positive sentiment on his lips to greet you with. He genuinely cared. He was the one who would ask you how you are doing and stick around and wait for you to answer. His laugh could light up the darkest of days and HIS BEING MADE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD.
May God continue to bless and keep you in His care. May He be with you now and always. I pray that "Mr. Davenport's" journey home was one of peace and that his soul has found its home and when I hear the thunder roll, "C.C." my friend, I'd like to believe it's you and your Baritone gifting the heavens.
Prayerfully and sincerely,
Jacqueline (Jaki) Farmer

CC was one of the greatest people I’ve ever met in my entire life. Was always a great friend to listen to your problems and help you through them. And was always there via phone or text just to check in on you if you haven’t talked to him in a while (sometimes only a week went by and he would call to make sure I was okay lol!) I am forever grateful that he was able to attend my wedding and I will miss him and will forever love that man
