Obituary of Lois Louise Dobbins
Lois Louise Dobbins was born September 20, 1936, in Camden, New Jersey to Edna (Cream) and Edward Harris. On Friday, July 8, 2022, her Lord and Savior took her from labor to reward.
"Lowie" as she was affectionately called by family and friends attended the Camden Public Schools and was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Lois worked at various places as a clerical worker and was lastly employed by Carlson Crafts formerly of Lumberton, New Jersey.
Lois loved her family. She enjoyed and looked forward to spending holidays, barbecues and social gatherings with her family and friends. In her leisure time, Lois enjoyed doing puzzles, word searches and traveling.
Lois was an active member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Woodlynne, New Jersey, where she was active in the lady's bible study, did the early morning prayer for the seniors and member of the mass choir. However, her main ministry was sending and ensuring that every member got a birthday card from her every year. Lois was a woman who was many things to many people: a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be greatly missed but loved by all who knew her an aunt, a grandmother, a friend
She predeceased by: her husband, Isaiah "Pete" Dobbins; parents, Edna and Edward Harris; sisters, Jackie Scriber, Brenda Russell and Dolly Smith.
Lois is survived by: her son, William "Merrill" Smith (Barbara); daughters, Jeri L. Jefferson and Jackie Dobbins; brother, Edwin "Nick" Harris; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A celebration of Lois's life and the love her family has for her will be 11AM, Friday, July 22, 2022, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 2220 Woodlynne Avenue, Woodlynne, New Jersey, where family and friends may view from 9AM-11AM.
