Obituary of Emilio Hernandez

Emilio "Machuca Pai" Hernandez 65, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division. He was born August 30, 1956, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to Emiliano and Aida Luz Hernandez.

Emilio attended school in Puerto Rico and worked as a maintenance engineer for the Atlantic City Special Improvement District. He enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Emilio enjoyed most sports with baseball and football being his favorites. His favorite football team was the Pittsburg Steelers.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Emiliano Hernandez and Aida Luz Hernandez; brother, Hector Pastrana.

Emilio leaves to cherish his fond memories: his loving children, Emilia, Emilio, Jr. and Steven Hernandez, Noel Malave; sisters, Maria Hernandez, Virgenmina Flores, Jesusa Cruz and Gabriela Cabanas; brothers, Elbert, Gabriel and Miguel Pastrana; and host of grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other family members and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be 12:30PM Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Greenidge Funeral Homes, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, New Jersey, where friends may view from 11AM to 12:30PM. Interment to follow at Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, New Jersey.
