Obituary of Andy Andrew Nelson

ANDY ANDREW NELSON, SR. was born March 9, 1959, in Panama City, Florida to Josephine Brown and Willie Mack Nelson. After a brief illness, Andy departed this earthly life and returned to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus. Andy worked for many years at B & R Auto and later in life as a property manager. He was avid fisherman as well as a diehard Eagles fan, "Go Eagles." _He loved his family, and nothing brought him more pride than him being called "Pop Pop" by his grandchildren. Andy will be FOREVER loved, DEEPLY missed, and ALWAYS remembered. Andy is preceded in death by: his two daughters, Tyeesha and Iesha Williams; parents, Josephine Brown and Willie Mack Nelson; one brother, Zandus Nelson; two sisters, Sheree and Shadanah Nixon; one sister-in-law, Tydeeha Nelson. Left to cherish his memory: his wife, Lisa Williams; six sons, Arthur Williams (Rosa), Matthew Butler (Brittany), Daniel (Daveene), Devon, and Devin Williams; Andy Nelson, Jr.; five brothers, Anthony (Shirley), James (Karen), and Daryl Mack Nelson, Jamal and Joshua Nixon; three sisters, Chasity Nixon, Faith Turner, Hope Brown (Daniel); four grandchildren with one angel on the way, Analisa and Lilyana Williams, Jayla and Josiah Butler; stepfather, Jocephus Nixon; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be 11AM, Friday, February 11, 2022, Second Baptist Church, 110 Dr. I. S. Cole Plaza, Atlantic City, New Jersey, where friends may call from 10AM. Interment to follow the services in Lincoln Memorial Park, Mays Landing, New Jersey. An additional viewing will be from 5PM - 7PM, Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, New Jersey. COVID protocols in places and masks are required in all venues.
