Obituary of Selena M. Watson

Selena M. Watson, 69, of Atlantic City, New Jersey was called home on Monday, January 17, 2022. She was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Carolyne Watson and Frank Keels. A lifelong resident of Atlantic City, Selena attended Atlantic City public schools and Atlantic Community College. She held various positions that included security guard, casino dealer, certified nursing assistant and also worked as a summer camp counselor and office clerk with the Atlantic City Housing Authority. She was lastly employed as a clerk with the State of NJ Division of Civil Rights. Selena enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, making floral arrangements, and event planning. She had an eye for design and has decorated the homes of family members and friends. Selena loved to attend concerts and enjoyed traveling with her sister-friend Marsha Tobe. Selena was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Watson. She leaves her love and cherished memories with: her children, Satrina, Joseph, Edwin and Frank Watson (Ericka); her grandchildren, and great grandchildren: her sisters, Pearldene Sangare, Clarice Brown (Anthony) and Celeste Watson (Donna); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and extended family and friends. Home going services will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Second Baptist Church, 110 Rev. Dr. Isaac Cole Plaza, Atlantic City, where friends may view from 10AM to 11AM. Interment to follow in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, NJ. Due to COVID-19, we ask that you social distance. Masks are required to attend funeral services.
