Connie Mae (Wolfrey) Price was born in Gates County, North Carolina to Mary Helen (Gary) and Austin Cephas Wolfrey. She went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 2, 2022, surrounded by her family. She attended T.S. Cooper Elementary School and she graduated as the salutatorian from Central High School in Gates County. She furthered her education by earning her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a Master of Science Degree from Seton Hall University. Connie worked as a supervisor for the Juvenile Justice Division for the State of New Jersey. She was a faithful member of the Union Baptist Temple in Atlantic City, where she was a member of the choir, a Sunday School teacher and chairperson of the Preston G. Hill Scholarship Committee. She was an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Jack and Jill of America. She was predeceased by her father, Austin Cephas Wolfrey; brother, Brian Wolfrey; sisters, Helen A. Wolfrey and Myra Wolfrey Blow; mother and father-in-law, Minnie and Charlie James Price, Sr.; sister-in-law, Lernette Wolfrey; brothers-in-law, Milton Bernard Bowser, Larry Blow, Robert Ellis, Charlie James Price, Jr., and Fred Price. Connie leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved husband, Clifton Allen Price, Sr.; sons, Clifton Allen Price, Jr. and Charlie Price; granddaughter, Alexis Amber Price; stepdaughter, Drexelle Price (Jaleel); mother, Mary Helen Wolfrey; brothers; Rev. John C. Wolfrey, Austin A Wolfrey (Loraine) and Reginald T. Wolfrey (Kathy); sisters, Marilyn Bowser, Vanessa Ellis, Fannie Wiggins (Reginald), Doraine Spence (Shelton) and Janice Baker (Ray); brother-in-law, Eugene Price; sisters-in-law, Laverne Glass (Archie) and Bobbi Jean Sykes; a very special uncle, Willie Floyd Gary; step-grandchildren, Khari H. Harley, Jaliyah and Jewel Prevard; bonus brother, Rufus Blackwell; and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be private for family. A walk through viewing will be 10AM to 11:30AM Monday, January 10, 2022, at Union Baptist Temple, Pennsylvania and Drexel Avenues, Atlantic City, New Jersey. Interment will be in New Middle Swamp Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Corapeake, North Carolina.
