Obituary of Curtis Scott Campbell

Curtis Scott Campbell, 59, of Vineland, New Jersey went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2021. Curtis was born on April 8, 1962, to Clarice (nee' Lipford) and Wadsworth Hamilton Campbell, Sr. Curtis grew up in South Egg Harbor and attended the Egg Harbor school system. In 1980, Curtis graduated from Absegami High School. While at Absegami, Curtis played on the varsity basketball team, but his love for music inspired him to joined the Absegami Marching Band. Curtis fell in love with the percussion section. He was self-taught and excelled at playing the Triple Drums. During his time in the marching band, Curtis played in the Miss America Parade, the Georgia Rose Parade, the Canada Parade, Atlantic City Festival, Florida Parades, and others. Growing up, Curtis loved to take apart electrical appliances around the house to "fix" them. Because he took the family television apart and didn't quite put it back together, his father signed Curtis into an apprenticeship program at the Calvi Electric Company in Egg Harbor City. Curtis also had a love for fast cars. In the 90's he purchased his first Mustang GT. He was so proud of his car and took great care of it. There was no eating, drinking, or lounging in that car. From 1987 until 1989, Curtis worked as a Security Guard at the Showboat Casino. In the 1990's, Curtis worked as a Dealer in Bally's Casino, Revel Casino, and Ocean Casino all of Atlantic City. During these years, he made long lasting friendships with his co-workers whom he considered his extended family. It was in 1989, when Curtis met the love of his life, is beautiful wife, Margie. Curtis was predeceased by: his parents, Clarice (nee' Lipford) and Wadsworth Campbell, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 31 years, Margie; two sons, Brandan Campbell and Justin Campbell (Amanda); three granddaughters, Juliet, Mia Bella, Anyia; brother, Wadsworth Campbell Jr. (Kim); four sisters, Felicia Campbell, Rev. Tanya Campbell, Rachel Campbell, and Clarice Rochester (Patrick); niece Kristina; nephew, Wadsworth, III; two great nieces, Giuliana and Gianna; two great nephews, Julian and Jeremiah; uncle, Gibby; three aunts, Jackie, Lydece, and Annette and a host of cousins and friends.
