Obituary of Edward Jerome Johnson
Edward Jerome Johnson aka, "Eddie", "Ed", of "Khufu Shishunk", 50, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on October 24, 2021, in the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center – City Campus. He was born July 23rd, 1971, in Germantown, Philadelphia, to Beulah Joann Chrisp, and the late Andre E. Johnson, Sr. Edward joined the Nuwaupian Nation in 1995. Edward has also lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Augusta, Georgia with his three children. Edward attended Philadelphia Public Schools, Pleasantville Public Schools and Atlantic City High School. He also attended Atlantic City Youth Build Corp. In his teen years he joined the Atlantic City PAL where he became a light-heavy weight boxer and competed in many amateur fights. He also sparred with some of the great who came through the Atlantic City PAL boxing league. For many years Edward was self-employed. His last employment was with Homewood Suites in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Edward enjoyed: boxing; watching movies; looking at pictures; making others laugh; motivating others; spending time teaching his children and other children; reading; studying; meditating; and eating good food. Edward was an amazing Father, Son, Brother, Friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Edward Leaves to cherish his memories: daughters; Nefetari Johnson and Sakhmet Elie, son; Adafa Elie, parent; Beulah J Chrisp, brother; Andre Gregg, Jeffery and, LeVar Johnson, Sean and Myron Chrisp, sisters; Tamala J Minor, and Sharon Reynolds, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. A visitation will be 12PM-1PM, Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Greenidge Funeral Homes, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, New Jersey.
