Obituary of Frank Reginald Epps

Frank Reginald Epps, Jr. 65, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division. "Wild Man" as he was affectionately known was born May 13, 1956, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Virginia (Darden) and Frank Reginald Epps, Sr.

Wild Man attended the Atlantic City Public Schools and was a 1974 graduate of Atlantic City High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States National Guard. After being discharged from the Nation Guard, he worked for Atlantic Electric where he was a heavy equipment operator, removing coal from the coal trains. He also worked for the Labors International Local #415 in Pleasantville, New Jersey and RPM as a security guard.

Wild Man was an avid biker and supported the Wheels of Soul for 48 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #216 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. As a youth he attended and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Wild Man enjoyed traveling and riding his motorcycle everywhere. He was an avid fisherman and jokester. He also was a mentor. Wild Man had a passion for helping young people who seemed to be on a troubled or dangerous path. Many of those young people to this day thank him for his words of wisdom. Wild Man loved music and was very talented himself. He was known by many as the king of Karaoke.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Frank Reginald Epps, Sr.

Wild Man leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Valerie L. Adams-Epps; daughters, Deena Epps and Vameeca Adams; mother Virginia Epps-Johnson; sister, Pearl Epps; seven grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be Noon, Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Venice Park United Methodist Church, 2015 Morningside Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey, where friends may call from 11AM.
