Obituary of Serafin Felton Morales Rivas

Serafin Felton Morales Rivas, affectionately known as "Blanco" peacefully transitioned at his home on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. He was born September 9, 1948, in Havana City, Cuba to Luis Morales Villalon and Courada Eloina Rivas Martinez.

Blanco attended the local schools and graduated from high school in Havana, Cuba. He relocated to Newark, New Jersey, in 1980 and worked briefly as an environmental custodian for the Newark International Airport. In 1982, Blanco moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey. He worked for the Pleasantville Board of Education in Pleasantville, New Jersey, as a custodian and most recently as a driver for Just Four Wheels car, truck and van rentals in Galloway, New Jersey.

Blanco enjoyed watching the news and keeping abreast on current events. He loved listening to music, watching football, watching baseball and spending time with family. Blanco was an avid New York Giants and Yankees fan. He was a dedicated and devoted minister of the Yoruba Religion and served as Babalawo in which he cherished and lived by daily.

He was preceded in death by: his son, Alexander Morales; parents, Luis Morales Villalon and Courada Eloina Rivas Martinez; brother, Luis Morales; sisters, Zoe and Tomasa Morales.

Blanco is survived by: his children, Yanisley Morales (Joheidy) of Miami, Florida and Felton Morales of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; faithful and devoted companion of twenty-one years, Leonila Paredes; sisters, Mirtha and Luisa Maria Morales both of Havana, Cuba; brothers, Edward W. Brown Rivas of Newark, New Jersey, Pedro L. Morales of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and Cristobal E. Morales (Mildred) of New Haven, Connecticut; only grandson, Michael Thomas Morales of Staten Island, New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered for his caring spirit and wisdom.

Funeral services will be Noon, Friday, October 8, 2021, at Greenidge Funeral Homes, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, New Jersey, where friends may call from 11AM. Interment will follow in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, New Jersey.
