Allow me to just reflect a bit as we celebrate such a beautiful life. I guess you could say that I have known Lois everyday of my life. I say that because I have memories of Lois ever since I can recall. Her family lived next door to my family and even though I was younger I distinctly remember her visiting her parents almost everyday of the week for so many many years.
During those visits she would hang out in the neighborhood because my older sisters, and brother were all close in age. They would hang out for hours at a time and there was always lots of laughter and fun. Our families attended the same church (St. Monica's Catholic Church) and shared a strong bound in life.
Our families were naturally intertwined and I spent my childhood befriending Lois' children Nate, Larry and later on Teena and Kathy. It's hard to remember a time in my youth where we did not have some sort of interaction. Through all of that interaction I have come to share a deep love for Lois and cherished her friendship. Later in life I learned to respect her as a mother figure as she was there to guide me in that manner when necessary.
I'm so happy for the joyful time with Lois the last time I saw her in the Summer of 2018. I had dinner with Lois, Nate and Nick. If my memory serves me, we hung out to the wee hours of the morning enjoying dinner, music and the time together.
My most since heart felt condolences go out to Nate, Larry, Teena, Kathy and all of Lois' loved ones during this time of tribulation. As I continue to reflect please allow me to thank you all so much for sharing your mother with us. Your Mom will live in my heart forever and may her spirit continue to live in all of us. We are all so blessed to have had her in our lives.
Lois was blessed and shared those blessing with all whom came in contact with her. May GOD continue to shine his light on your family and bless you all throughout eternity, PEACE and LOVE!
