Obituary of Debora Ann Branch
Please share a memory of Debora to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Debora Ann Branch was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on February 22, 1961, to Cecilia Smith and Earl Wilson. She departed earth to be with the Lord, May 13, 2021, after a valiant bout with cancer. Debbie attended Holy Spirit High School until her junior year and graduated from Atlantic City High School. During her high school years, she fell in love with her husband, Byron Branch. Together, they created a culture of humility, dignity, and accountability. Debbie was a genuinely good person that garnered the trust of people from various walks of life. She was not just a mother to Dwane, Derell, and Brandon, she was a mother to all. Her home was always open, as she provided refuge for those lacking a safe place. Her love for helping extended into her career as a healthcare provider as her passion for phlebotomy served many throughout the South Jersey area.
Debora did not let cancer dictate her life. She told cancer how things would end, on her terms! Her selfless nature would not allow the the perils of this disease to desecrate family and friends. She would rather you prosper without fretting over her. She was a true pillar of her family, her community, her workplace, and even to a bunch of Byron's crazy dogs. Debbie provided consistent support and leadership. Children without parents found a mother, people that could not understand found a teacher, and people who simply needed help, found a hand. Her strength was so consistent it was expected. She was our foundation and her presence will never die.
Debora Branch is survived by: her loving husband, Byron Branch: sons, Dwane James, Derell Branch, and Brandon Branch; grandchildren, Dwane James, Jr., Jayla Branch, Skylar Branch, Jayce Branch, and Bryson Branch; Tiffanie Woodo, her niece she loved dearly; great-niece, Azahnah Hill; nephew, Lamar Farmer; her mother, Cecilia Smith; siblings, Blanche Baker and Charles James; daughters-in-law, Shirley James, Shantelle Williams, and Kenyatta Branch. She is predeceased by her loving nephew, Justin Farmer and her father, Earl Wilson.
