Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Coppin
On April 6, 2021, MARY E. COPPIN was called to Heaven to meet her Heavenly Father, our Almighty God, where she entered into her eternal rest.
"Annie", as she was affectionately called, was born the daughter of Ms.Ora Lee Jones on July 28, 1945, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Mary received her education through the Atlantic City public school system. During her early years, she met the love of her life, Mr. Robert C. Coppin, Sr., and from this union one daughter, Roberta M. Coppin and one son, Robert C. Coppin, Jr. were born.
A dedicated and loving mother who worked hard to provide a safe haven for herself as well as her children, Annie was a member of Community Baptist Church, where she sang on the choir. She retired from the Atlantic City Medical Center after more than twenty years of dedicated service.
Mary E. Coppin is truly loved and will be missed by family and friends.
She is predeceased by: her mother, Ora Lee Jones; brother, Richard Jones; and sisters, Dorothy Jones and Elaine Jones.Annie leaves to mourn her passing: two children, daughter, Roberta Coppin and son, Robert Coppin, Jr.; five grandchildren, Kevin Cottman, Jr., Stephon Hunter, II, Aanyai Biggins, Ahmad Biggins, and Connie Thompson; great-grandson, Ishmael Rodriguez and two special children, Anthony Alexander and Felicia Scott. She also leaves behind four brothers, Donald Jones, Nathaniel Howard Jones, John Overton Jones and James Jones; four sisters, Ann-Marie Comer, Oddett Howard, Denise Faulk, and Jenne Chandler Wickerson; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be 1PM, Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Atlantic City Cemetary, Doughty Road, Pleasantville, New Jersey.
