Obituary of Wayne Ivan Goldsboro

Wayne Ivan Goldsboro, Sr., 84 of Bridgeton, New Jersey, departed this life on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, peacefully at his home. He was born September 17, 1936, in Bridgeton, New Jersey to Rebecca (Loatman) and Frank Goldsboro, Sr. "Goldie" as he was known to many worked for the UA Local #322 for many years as a pipe fitter. He was also a skilled craftsman in welding and plumbing. Wayne's craft lead him to work many jobs such as; the nuclear plant in Salem, New Jersey, and the shipyard in Camden, New Jersey. "He was an all-around handyman that seemed to be able to fix anything" according to his daughter, Pam. Over the years, Wayne was affiliated and fellowshipped with many churches in the area. He took pride in mentoring and ministering to many over the years. His mentoring and ministring efforts were for those who suffered from drug and alcohol abuse and those who were behind prison walls. Wayne loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed family barbecues and talking to and meeting people. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Rebecca and Frank Goldsboro, Sr., three brothers, Frank, Jr., William "Billy" and John Goldsboro; sisters, Doris Pierce, Catherine "Elaine" Street and Helen Morris. Wayne leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Wayne I. Goldsboro, Jr.; daughter, Pamela Goldsboro; stepsons, Tommy Mims, Eugene Cook and Marlon Scott; brothers, Linwood and George Goldsboro; sisters, Marion Harris, Harriet "Rose" Smith and Vivian "Bernice" Bailey; grandchildren, Wayne I. Warren, Shaniqua Mackey and Blake Goldsboro; great-grandchildren, Javen, KyLeigh, Bryson and Kingston Warren, Tyerra and J'Ciair Young, A'Miyah Fuller; godchildren, Sierra and Shayna Young; special friends, Lona Mae Hall and Regina Goldsboro; and a host of nieces; nephews; other family members and friends. Funeral services to Celebrate his life will be held 11AM Thursday, March 11, 2021, at The ALMS Center, One Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Bridgeton, New Jersey, where friends may call from 9AM. Interment will be in Gouldtown Memorial Park, Gouldtown, New Jersey.
