Obituary of Jerome Gandy

Bishop Jerome Gandy, 58, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ transitioned from earth to glory Sunday, February 7, 2021 at his home. He was born January 8, 1963, in New Brunswick, NJ to Callie Mae & Bishop James E. Gandy, Sr. 

Bishop Gandy graduated from Absegami High School in 1981, and the University of Concordia, Manoa, Hawaii in 1986.  

Bishop Gandy entered the United States Army in 1982 and served until 1987. During his enlistment he was trained as an accounting & controlling specialist and was stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and at the Pentagon, Washington DC. It was during this time that he met his lovely wife, Rhonda Johnson. He was blessed with six children and seven grandchildren.  

Bishop Gandy was the pastor and founder of Deliverance of Truth Holiness Church in Buena Vista, NJ.  Bishop Jerome Gandy has not only done well in the ministry, but also had over twenty-five years working as an experienced quality engineer, within the federal government. 

Bishop Gandy was predeceased by: his father, Bishop James Edward Gandy, Sr. and his brother, Dempsey Gandy.  

He leaves to cherish his legacy, his wife of 33 years, Rhonda Gandy; his sons: Jerome Holly, Deshawn (Ashley) Gandy, Jerhon Gandy, Tarrell (Quiana) Gandy, Terrence Gandy and daughter Kimberly Nicole Carter; Grandchildren: Madison, DeShawn, Jr., Cannady, Peyton, Duke, Dylan and Tarrell, Jr.  He is also survived by: his mother, Callie Mae Gandy; eight siblings, James, Jr. (Ramona) of Willingboro, NJ, Leon of Huntsville, AL, Claude (Sheryl) of Atlantic City, NJ, Claudette Gandy-Inman (Jasper) of Cape May, NJ, Andre (Patricia) of Atlantic City, NJ, Johnny Ray (Patricia) of Mays Landing, NJ, Derek (Kula) of Mobile, AL and Judie Gandy-Davis (Kelvin) of Huntsville, AL; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; friends; and the “Deliverance of Truth Church Family”.

Funeral services will be Noon, Wednesday, February 17, 2021, in the Richard Squires Pavilion, Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, 109 Route 50, Estell Manor. Prior to the funeral, there will be a visitation from 10AM - 11AM, at Deliverance of Truth Holiness Church, 1166 Harding Highway, Buena Vista, NJ. Interment to immediately follow the services.
