Obituary of Reva Renee Engram

Our "BELOVED REVA" was born in Philadelphia on April 2, 1960. The UNION of LEONARD and HELEN FRIDAY gave us all our "WONDER WOMAN" REVA was educated in the Pleasantville School System and graduated from Plant High School, Tampa, Florida, class of "78". REVA resided in: Tampa, St. Petersburg, Florida area from 1977 to1980; Oxon Hill, Maryland, from 1980 to 1986; and Galloway, New Jersey, for the last 25 years. The UNION of DALLAS Engram and REVA Friday created Timothy and D.L. Engram. REVA had many friends from childhood and they became a STRONG, DEVOTED and UNCONDITIONAL BOND OF LOVE AS SISTAS!!!!!!!! REVA'S passion for traveling, GREAT food, and listening to classic soul music will forever be missed. REVA enjoyed comedy and being a comedian. Her sense of HUMOR, WIT, COMPASSION and STERNNESS for doing right and giving advice defined the "ESSENCE OF TRUTH". Her tenacious ability to make others happy as she was and will always be, "THE LIFE OF THE PARTY", or "THE GUIDING LIGHT". DEVASTATED and HEARTBROKEN are many due to "WONDER WOMAN'S" absence. REVA spent 30 plus years in banking, while lastly employed and servicing COVENANT HOUSE in A.C. REVA and her companion George Chadwick shared love for 22 yrs. She enjoyed motorcycle rides on the open road, attending 76ers games and cheering on DALLAS COWBOYS. REVA loved everyone, but CHERISHED HER GRANDKIDS and GREAT GRANDS!!!!! From D.L. How I love you…too much to count the ways. Not only were you the best mother one can ask for, you were one of my best friends. You gave me such great guidance throughout my life. My heart is bleeding. It feels like there's a hole in the pit of my stomach just thinking of your absence. My beautiful Reva my sweet Ma!! I've missed your laugh because the evil sickness even took that away long before it took you, but we still kept our sense of humor. Some things are unfathomable. Your leaving me at this time fits in that category. You were there for everything. Right with me in delivery room when DJ was born. Right there when I signed papers to buy my house. Always there regardless if it was of importance or something small. Me buying the house 100 yards from yours was a blessing. My plan was for DJ to be able to walk to his grandma's house as he grew up; that you would be that close to us. But God had other plans...It crushes me to my core that my son will not have you. I was blessed to have you for 34 years. I thank God he allowed us to bring you home, be comfortable, and feel the energy of family. Life cannot be the same without you. This past year can only be described as an evil journey. My Wonder Woman fought with every ounce. I asked God for a miracle or mercy and he Gave us mercy. Your pain is over. But my pain and the pain of the many, many people who love and adore you will continue. We will all attempt to go on with this void inside of us. I just want to hold your hand... From Nikki A few days ago the world lost a Hero, Sunday I lost my hero...The Villain "Cancer" The fight until the end ,most courageous I might add...My Sister Never Wavered or Folded I truly believe she just had to strike a deal...Her life for no more pain and suffering, her life for her family to have back theirs the biggest sacrifice one could give.. So, Yay Reva Renee your suffering finally ended...Woe for us because yesterday our pain excelled...We will get through this no doubt, but it will be soooo hard without our boss, our nag, our disciplinarian. Have fun in paradise bossing them all around and setting them straight, and watch us as we try to figure it out without You. Crystal Thank you, MIL, for being a great mother in law. I am truly grateful for all you have done for me even during the hardest time. Your unconditional love and care mean everything to me. Love you always MIL... your DIL Sherri Reva had an infectious sense of humor and when she laughed, even if you didn't know what she was laughing about, you started laughing too. We shared many mutual interests, but laughter was always a big part of our friendship that started when we were little girls in elementary school. We grew up, had children and still hung out a lot. Her laughter got even more infectious because we found so many things hilarious, many times, something about us. We had a good time together for most of our lives. I'll miss my friend. I'll continue the laughter here as I'm sure she has them all laughing up there. Debbie M. About 50 years ago I met this freckled- face young girl...Reva. She loved to laugh All the time. I thought it was strange, but it was contagious... I laughed even more. We became Sisters instantly. We helped raise our children, traveled, and live and cried together. She loved music, Minnie Riperton, Earth Wind & Fire was her ultimate favorite. As adults, if she had a problem and asked me for answers she would always say "But You're my big sister".
