Obituary of Gloria Foote

Gloria Carter Foote was born to Bernard Carter and Ada Liscomb Carter on November 3, 1932, in New York City, New York. In her early years, Gloria was educated in Jamaica, New York. After graduation, she married Thomas Bolden. From this union there were two children, Linda and Thomas Bolden, Jr. and Gloria made sure that she gave her children the early foundation that they would need to have a successful life. In later years, Gloria attended Montifore School of Nursing from where she graduated and then began a very fulfilling career as a nurse. Then she met and married John L. Foote. From this union came their daughter, Shawn Foote. While working at Montifore Hospital, Gloria was a part of their bowling league. In her later years, she enjoyed her summers in Atlantic City. She eventually moved to Atlantic City to be closer to her beloved beach during the day and her favorite casino game, Mr. Cashman, during the evening. Gloria will be missed, but she leaves behind a rich legacy of loving and supporting family and friends.
