Obituary of Edgar Phillip Alexander

Edgar Phillip Alexander, Sr. 77, of, Vineland, New Jersey went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 8, 2019. He was born in Boydton, Virginia, on December 25, 1941, to Ella (Alexander) and Charlie Alexander. He was educated in the Boydton School District.

Edgar worked in environmental services for: Presbyterian Hospital in Newark, New Jersey; Ancora in Hammonton, New Jersey, and Wheaton's Glass formerly in Millville, New Jersey. Mr. Alexander enjoyed working on cars, fishing and riding his bike. He was an avid football, baseball and boxing fan. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and western movies and tv shows. He was an active member of Cornerstone Christian Assembly in Williamstown, New Jersey.

He was predeceased by: his wife, Sandra Alexander; parents, Ella and Charlie Alexander; brothers, Henry and Charlie Alexander, Jr.; sister, Willa Simmons.

Edgar leaves to cherish his memories: sons, Edgar "Eddie" Jr., Sean (Tia) and Andre Alexander, daughter, Jacqueline Anthony; sisters, Jennie Mae Simmons and Margaret Harris; grandchildren, Tiaone Harris, Chaun, Andre, Jarrel and Messiah Alexander; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11AM Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Cornerstone Christian Assembly Church, 422 Corkery Lane, Williamstown, New Jersey, where friends may call from 9:30AM. Interment will be in Land of Canaan Cemetery, Glassboro, New Jersey.
