Obituary of Mildred Elizabeth Moore

Mildred Elizabeth Moore, 87, of Atlantic City, NJ, passed away June 14, 2019. Elizabeth was born December 22, 1931, to the late Edith Green and Samuel Parker. She attended public school system in Wilmington, Delaware. She also worked at Delmarva Power and Light Company as a cashier. While visiting Atlantic City, she met Leonard A. Moore, they later married November 4, 1978.

 

She transferred her membership from Mt. Joy Methodist Church of Wilmington, Delaware to Hamilton Memorial United Methodist Church, where she servved as a usher and a member of United Methodist Women. She loved to dress and travel. Her last employment was with the City of Atlantic City as a cashier. She was a member in the order of Eastern Star, Swakin Court #54, and Heroine of Jericho.

 

She was predeceased by: parents; son, Craig A. Doran; husband, Leonard A. Moore; two brothers, Edward and Theodore Parker. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, George A. Doran of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandson, Mark A. Smith of Wilmington, Delaware; sister, Priscilla M. Wright (Cecil, Sr.) of Wilmington, Delaware; stepdaughters, Pamela Moore, Angela Mobley (Darryl), Victoria Smith; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; nieces and nephews, Donette Clark, Toni Jones and Darryl Wright; and a host of relatives and friends.

 

Funeral Services will be 11AM, Wednesday, June 26, 2019, Hamilton Memorial United Methodist Church, 609 Arctic Avenue, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 9AM. Interment to follow in Atlantic City Cemetery.
