Friday, May 31, 2019Though my heart is heavy, my spirit is BEAMING with love. You are free from the trials of this world, and for that I am grateful. Mr. Beaman it was you who breathed life into me on the days that my fire was dim. You reminded me of my foundation. You spoke encouragement to me in your own parables. You showed me how to focus not on the flaws of people, but to see the KINDNESS within them. My time at Greenidge Funeral Homes Inc. was one of the roughest points in life. I am so very grateful for having the opportunity to work with you and witness true loyalty to that family business. I will never forget our conversations and I shall always remember your words of kindness and love. Thank you for taking the time to speak life back into little ol' me. Travel well* With love, Shannon M. Harrington

Wednesday, May 29, 2019Dearest Gail, Trea, Todd, and Tramar, We are deeply saddened by the loss of your beloved husband and father - and our dear, dear friend and brother in Christ. Joe was a good Christian man -- kind, generous, selfless, intelligent, witty, and a Servant of the Lord Jesus Christ! He was the epitome of magnanimity, compassion, humility, and uprightness ! Joe was willing to help anyone --- and he did! So many educators can thank Joe for his selfless efforts and leadership in catapulting their professional careers -- including our daughter Kimberly. My family is forever grateful for that! I (Linda) will always remember his positive attitude, encouraging words, sense of humor, grateful spirit, Love for his wife Gail, daughter and sons - and his Love for the Lord. His presence will indeed be missed at St. Matthew's! All of us will miss him greatly -- I will miss seeing him sitting in the front center pews, waving his hands in the air as the Holy Spirit touches him. Thus, his warmth, kindness, integrity, gentle spirit, and genuine friendship will be remembered always in our hearts. I will never forget Joe saying to me, ""I thank the Lord for the OPPORTUNITY to give." Gail, Trea, Todd, Tramar: we know that this is a very, very difficult time -- however, we hope that you can find some comfort in knowing that JOE is with the Lord, resting and rejoicing in peace! How can he not be. He did not just talk the talk -- he walked the walk! I truly believe that his spiritual walk with the Lord and his Faithfulness to the Lord during his earthly journey are being rewarded by our Savior in Heaven. Trea, Todd, Tramar: your father left you a priceless role model! - his life's legacy of wisdom, genuine love, leadership, respect, generosity, spirituality, etc. My family and I are praying for your strength, peace. and comfort at this time and in the days, months, years ahead! Joe will always be with you through beautiful and precious memories! "What we once have enjoyed -- We Can Never Lose. ALL that we LOVE deeply become part of us." We love you all! We are here for you! Linda, Carlton, Kimberly & Brittany

Wednesday, May 29, 2019Joe was such a pleasure to be around he always wore a smile on his face. He always wanted to see others smile and laugh along with him which is why when you see him he always had something funny to say. He could get serious when needed. I witnessed him work tirelessly putting in the time to help those who couldn’t help themselves. He would come into the bank I work at to advocate for friends on several occasions. Joe would spend hours sharing stories about his time in AC, his favorite subject JESUS CHRIST, and basketball. Joe will be missed. Prayers for strength to your family ❤️

Wednesday, May 29, 2019God bless Joseph Beaman. It was an honor and privilege to work side by side with Joseph in the Curriculum and Instruction Department for 15 years. The original team of Joseph, Marilyn Grace, Lourdes, and myself wrote the Goals 2000 grant that created the Atlantic City Public Schools Parent Centers, which still serve the community today. Joseph was dedicated to running and expanding the Parent Centers throughout his career. Later, Anne, Kathy, and Jodi joined our team and together, we wrote and administered grants that brought over $7 million dollars into the District, including the $6.6 million Reading First Grant. Joseph was our mathematician and budget coordinator who worked tirelessly in our effort to improve our libraries and prepare our students for college and career. Joseph, along with the rest of the members of the Curriculum and Instruction Department, were thrilled when our District was designated as a “High Performance District” in 2011, after focusing our efforts on improving reading and writing. Our departmental decisions were always driven by what was best for the children of Atlantic City. Joseph was truly a blessing not only to me, but the entire District and community. I send my sincere condolences to Gail and the entire Beaman family. - Donna Haye

My family will never forget how involved you were in my grandmother’s services. I APPRECIATE YOU! I’m glad I had the opportunity to tell you that.
