Obituary of Linda Beverly Davis
Linda Beverly Manning-Davis, of Atlantic City, NJ, born on May 7,1949, passed away suddenly on February 26, 2019.
Linda attended Union Baptist Temple since she was a young child. She attended Indiana Avenue School then Atlantic City High School.
Linda worked as a room attendant at the Madison House, then along with her sister Delores " Dee Dee" Dublin at the King David Motel, Bally's Park Place Hotel and Casino as a chambermaid, then later found her passion working as a nurse's aide at Easter Pines Convalescent Center.
Her last job was childcare attendant/grandmom at Robinson Small Learning Center in Atlantic City.
In her earlier years, Linda enjoyed spending time with her sister Dee Dee and also her sister in law, Wendy Davis. She enjoyed watching old classics such as Murder She Wrote, Matlock and she also enjoyed watching Law and Order. Linda was known to always have her hair done and you would always see her around town with either her daughter Ahshia or her son Latif.
Predeceased by her father, Edward L. Manning, mother, Leotta Banfield Manning, sister, Delores Dublin and grandson, Dante L. Henderson.
Survived by her children, Kiemon A. Henry (Pete), Ahshia C. Henderson, Bill A. Henderson and Willie Henderson; grandchildren, A'Daja R. Henderson, Kiera D. Henry, Keon L. Henry, Kimani A. Henry and Aleeziana L. Henderson; sisters, Dr. Cynthia Walker, Azizi Powell; brothers, Dr. Robert E.B. Manning (Charlotte) and Kenneth Manning; nieces and nephews, including a close family friend, Angela Burton, who was like a sister to her, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11AM, Saturday, March 9, St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 1203 Harrison Avenue, Pleasantville, where friends may call from 9am. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Pleasantville.
