Obituary of Margaret Murray

Margaret Murray 59, of Galloway, New Jersey, received her wings and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, after a courageous and inspiring battle with cancer. She was born March 8, 1959, in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Marguerite Miller and Frank Dowe.

Margaret attended the Atlantic City public schools, and graduated in 1977. Margaret attended Atlantic Cape Community College and Richard Stockton College where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards , reading and being around family. She worked in the casino industry from 1978 until 2015, as a dealer, floor person and pit manager. She was last employed by Golden Nugget and Caesars casinos.

Margaret married Maurice Murray in 1992, and from this union they were blessed with two daughters, Sabreeah and Shayla.

Margaret was predeceased by: parents, Marguerite Miller and Frank Dowe; siblings, Warren, Dwight, Jerome, Victoria, Augusta, and Shirleylene Miller.

She is survived by: husband, Maurice Murray; daughters, Sabreeah and Shayla Murray; four sisters, Barbara Porter, Ameenah Abdullah ( Hamid), Zakia Mustafa (Yaqub), Sharmaine Scott; brother, Frank Scott; very dear friend, Nisa McNair; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 11AM Friday, March 23, 2018, All Wars Memorial Building,1510 Adriatic Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey, where friends may call from 9AM. Interment Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, New Jersey.
