Peggy Germany

Obituary of Peggy Germany

On October 28, 1950, in Dover, Delaware, our family was blessed with Peggy Elizabeth Brice. Her proud parents were Harry Jackson Brice and his wife, Annie Frances (Clark) Brice. Peggy made her peaceful transition on Saturday, January 13, 2018.

As a young girl, Peggy was a member of Torrence Chapel Church in Cornelius, North Carolina, where she was baptized. Later with family members, she joined St. Paul CME Church in Chester, Pennsylvania. After many years she moved back to North Carolina and rejoined Torrence Chapel Church.

Peggy attended Chester Public Schools and graduated from Chester High School in 1967. At Douglass Junior High School, she sang with the mixed choir and played with the band. She also played in the band and did sports at Chester High School. She worked as a phone operator for Bell Telephone Company, as a manager at Wawa for seven years, while also working as a cook for nineteen years. She retired from Resorts international in Atlantic City, and at the age of 64 she began her college career at STRAYER UNIVERSITY, majoring in business management. Peggy earned a 3.9 GPA during her three years of education and was unable to finish due to illness.

She loved traveling and coming to visit her family she loved to surprise them. Peggy had a loving heart. She was always giving and sharing.

Peggy was often joked with because she had one son and eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was very proud of this and loved to mention it every chance she could.

She was predeceased by her parents, Annie Frances (Clark) Brice and Harry Jackson Brice; brothers, Harry Brice Jr. and Marvin Brice; sisters, Frances Brice and Little Annie Brice; brothers-in-law, Mailion Smith Sr. and David Buckner; and her husband William (Bill) Germany.

Peggy leaves to celebrate her legacy of love: her son, Abdur Rahim Muhammad and wife, Anisah who cared for her during her illness; eleven grandchildren; Qa'id, Zsave' Cherry, Rishard, Lishard, Asiana, Aasia, Abdur Rahman, Amr, Ammarah, Asmaa, Aa'ishah, Samirah Small, Yolanda Jean, Kathiria Trinadad, Bilal Cherry, Tyler Claybrooks; two great grandchildren, Asad and Za'rielle; sisters, Dianna L.
