David Clifford Drummond

David Clifford Drummond "Pop-Pop" 74, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, slipped into enternal peace in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

David was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 20, 1947, to David and Mable Drummond.

He attended Westing House High School in Brooklyn, New York. While in high school David met and married the love of his life Carolyn Cooper. David and Carolyn moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey, in the mid-seventies.

David retired from The Atlantic City Convention Center Boardwalk Hall after 37 years of service.

He was a lifelong member of Saint Monica's Roman Catholic Church where he served as a Knight Of Saint John: Saint Benedict Commandery #287. He was dedicated to his church and family.

David was a fun-loving father who loved his children and grandchildren. He was affectionately known for sending words of encouragement and prayers daily to everyone in his phone.

David was predeceased by: his loving wife, Carolyn Drummond; his beautiful daughter, Antoinette Drummond; parents, David and Mable Drummond; brother, Dennis Drummond.

David leaves to cherish his fond memories: two daughters, Laticia Dillard of Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Teresa Drummond of Galloway, New Jersey; two sons, David and Mark Drummond both of Atlantic City, New Jersey; two sisters, Joyce and Sharon Drummond; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; a special work daughter, Towanda Lamb who we are truly grateful; and a host of sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, 2651 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey, where friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 AM. Knights of Saint John rites will start at 10:45AM prior to Mass at the church. Interment to follow in Lincoln Memorial Park, Mays Landing, New Jersey.
