Patricia Annette Tyner, of Galloway, New Jersey was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Henry "Hank" Tyner and Helen Anthony on October 8, 1948. She passed away peacefully on January 9, 2021 at the Royal Suites Nursing Home after a valiant battle with a brain meningioma and lung cancer.
Pat was educated in both Atlantic City's private and public schools before graduating from Atlantic City High School in 1968. In 1971, Pat was a part of the inaugural class of Stockton State College, now Stockton University. Because the campus was not ready, students attended classes in Mayflower Hotel in Atlantic City. She attended Stockton until 1973 when she was blessed with her precious baby girl, Sakeenah.
Pat was employed by various Atlantic City casinos including Caesars, Trump Plaza, Trump Taj Mahal, and Trump Marina where she will always be remembered for her dedication and exceptional customer service for which Pat received multiple awards. She was a firm believer in treating everyone with dignity and respect. After working for more than 30 years in the casino industry, Pat felt it was time for a change and accepted a position with AtlantiCare Behavioral Health as an Office Manager in the Atlantic City Public School System. She enjoyed working with the community and especially loved her "After School Program Babies". She worked with AtlantiCare until 2013 before retiring for health reasons.
Pat was a second mom to many and great friend to all. She will be remembered for her heart to heart talks, her ability to make you laugh, her love for dancing and music especially smooth jazz. Mostly, Pat will be remembered for her signature macaroni and cheese and the iced tea in the orange pitcher. To know Pat was to love her and that love was always felt.
Pat was predeceased by her mother, Helen Anthony; her father, Inspector Henry "Hank" Tyner; and her sister, Ernestine Shepperson.
She leaves to cherish her many memories: her daughter, Sakeenah Annise Davis and her grandson, Deondre Tyree Davis; her sisters, Lynne Tyner, Robin Holland (Raymond), Judi Nickerson, Esq. (Gerald) Michele Fauntleroy (Spurgeon), Cheryl McNair (Daniel), brothers, Hon. Clayton Graham, JSC, State of Indiana, Supervisory Special Agent (Retired) Charles Graham (Verona), Det.
