Boris Gerard Buster

Boris Gerard Buster, A Son, A Brother, A Cousin, A Husband, A Father, A Veteran and a very loyal Friend. Boris was known to his Family and Friends as Boo, Feet and Boo Beyah, was born on January 24, 1969, in Atlantic City, NJ to the late Elijah Mitchell of Halifax, Virginia and Shirley L. Buster of Pleasantville, New Jersey.

Growing up Boo also fell in love with the sport of Basketball, which he played during most of his life. Boo always represented and loved the Dallas Cowboys, the NY Yankees, and the Philadelphia 76ers. His favorite College Basketball team was the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Boo attended may schools in the Atlantic City school system and graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1987.

After graduation, Boris enlisted into the United States Navy, that same year, where he served for four years! Boris then briefly attended Norfolk State University for communications.

Upon returning to Atlantic City, Boris began working at King David Nursing Home, where he met and then married Michelle Taylor in 1992. From that union was born Shania Monique Buster.

A hard worker and provider for his family, Boo worked two jobs, Showboat Casino and AtlantiCare where he spent over 20 years at both. Boo was a friend who would help out whenever needed and was a very personal Uber driver for his friends and both of his girls, Shania and Savannah, whom he loved dearly!

Boris loved and honored his Mother, Shirley who was the light of his life. Boo made it known that Shirley was his rock, his Pillar of strength and compassion. In his words, she was the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time).

Boris is predeceased by: his grandparents, John and Fannie Buster whom he enjoyed spending summers with.

Boris leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Shirley L. Buster of Pleasantville, New Jersey; two children, Shania M. Buster of Mays Landing, New Jersey and Savannah Arianna Leigh Brathwaite of Pleasantville, New Jersey; three sisters, Lisa M. Buster of Mays Landing, New Jersey, Donna Easley of Halifax, Virginia and Shannon Wilson of South Boston, Virginia; one brother, Maurice Mitchell of Atlanta, Georgia; former wife, Michelle Taylor Buster of Mays Landing, New Jersey; a special friend, LaTanya Brathwaite of Pleasantville, New Jersey; uncles and aunts, Cain D. Buster (Melba), Wilbert Buster (Tammy), Gilbert Buster (Karin), and Jesse Buster, Eva Buster, Marion Dixon, and Gloria Buster; very special family members to Boris was Candace, Jamal, Jimmy, Ursula, Kwame, and Damon; special nieces and nephews, Davon, Sa'Mira, and Michelle Taylor; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews; and friends.

Funeral services will be 10AM, Saturday, June 1, 2019, Union Baptist Temple, Pennsylvania and Drexel Avenues, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 8AM.
