Marvin M. Jamison, Jr.

Marvin M. Jamison, Jr., 56, of Mays Landing, NJ, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones. Marvin was born March 3, 1963, to Mrs. Devora M. (Douglas) and Marvin M. Jamison, Sr.

Marvin attended public school in Pleasantville, NJ., where he graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1983.  After high school graduation, Marvin joined the United States Army, from 1983 to 1995, ranked as (Sergeant Jamison) before he was Honorably Discharged. Marvin then attended the Atlantic County Vocational School in Mays Landing, graduated and received a certificate in HVAC and Culinary Arts. Marvin was employed at ShopRite of Absecon in 1995, where met and started dating, Michele Bing. He was also a maintenance supervisor in Atlantic City, and then moved on to work for UPS in shipping and handling. Marvin was lastly employed by the Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) as a road handler from 2002 to 2014.  

Marvin was a fun, loving family man who loved spending time with his loved ones, cracking jokes and taking vacations. He also had an extreme love for fishing and culinary arts. 

In 2003, Marvin married Michele at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Pleasantville, under the leadership of Reverend Winfred J. Sanders.

Marvin is predeceased by: his father, Mr. Marvin McCollor Jamison, Sr.; brothers-in-law, James E. Anderson and Harold Miller; one of his favorite cousins, Scott Smith.  

Marvin is survived by: his wife, Michele D. Jamison; his mother, Devora M. Jamison; his four sons, Brandon Allen, Daniel and Christopher Jamison, and William Bing all of Atlantic City, NJ; his two daughters, Monica Allen of San Diego, CA and Christina Bing (LaVaughn) of Atlantic City, NJ; his sisters, Lenora Douglas of Atlantic City, NJ, Veronica James (Carl) of Pine Hill, NJ, Angela Miller of Atlantic City, NJ, Fransaya Townsend (Kevin) of Absecon, NJ and Theresa Robertson (Jay) of New Castle, DE; two brothers, Andre Jamison (Kathy) of Somers Point, NJ and Andrew Keys of Atlantic City, NJ; stepbrother, James “Shaheed” Rogers of Atlantic City, NJ; brother-in-law, Brian Webb of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren; special cousin, Gaffany Hodges of New Brunswick, NJ and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, as well as other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11AM, Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at All Wars Memorial Building, 1510 Adriatic Avenue, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 9AM. Interment will follow in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, New Jersey.
