The newest addition to the staff of funeral directors at Greenidge Funeral Homes, Inc. is Christopher M. Hassan. Christopher says that he realized at the age of six he was meant to be a funeral director while he was attending a celebration of life event. A native Camden, New Jersey, Christopher’s educational journey began within the Camden City Public School System, where his desire to become a Funeral Director grew and his love for numbers developed. After graduating from Camden High School, Christopher began his college studies at Kaplan University. There, he attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and later opened Hassan Tax Service. While he enjoyed the fastidious attention to detail accounting required, he wasn’t fully satisfied as he missed opportunities to engage with people in meaningful ways during difficult times.
In 2015, Christopher began his education and training to become a funeral director by attending Mercer County Community College. There, he served as the Treasurer for Sigma Phi Sigma, the funeral service fraternity and attained an Associate Degree in Applied Science.
