Obituary of Donald Watson
Donald "Mutt" Watson 71, of Pleasantville, passed away on Wednesday January 3, 2018. Born and raised in Atlantic City, he was the son of Rosie B. Solomon and Richard G. Watson. "Mutt" learned the plumbing trade from his father and picked up great cooking skills from his mother. After school, he traded in his plumbing tools and became a union electrician. He worked for IBEW and McAdam Electric building most of the casinos in Atlantic City. Later in his career, "Mutt" began doing carpentry work to add to his long list of skills. He enjoyed building houses and later started his own home remodeling business. He enjoyed spending weekends watching sports and was a diehard Eagles and Phillies fan.
Donald is survived by: children, Donald, Jr and Kimberly; two grandchildren; siblings, Norman "Percy" Watson (Bessie), Kenneth Watson, Darrick "Picke" Watson, Yvonne "Bella" Garret and Lovie McCoy; longtime friend, Margaret Gallagher; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be 4PM-6PM, Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Kelsey's Restaurant, 1545 Pacific Avenue at Kentucky Avenue, Atlantic City. Arrangements are entrusted to Greenidge Funeral Homes, Inc., Atlantic City, where condolences may be left at www.greenidgefuneralhomes.com.
