Obituary of Noah Long

Noah "Kareem" Long, III, 67, passed away peacefully November 2, 2017, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness. Noah was born June 26, 1950, to Alma Lovett and Noah Robert Long in Newark, New Jersey.

Noah grew up in Newark, NJ, where he attended public school and graduated from Central High School. He later went on to attend Rutgers University and Stockton University. He met and married the love of his life, Suzanne Long, of 47 years of marriage.

Noah was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He enjoyed basketball, music (classic soul, funk, R&B), reading, old movies in black and white, and intellectual conversations that could last for hours. He considered himself a Jack of all trades, but a master of none.

Noah is survived by: wife, Suzanne Long; sons, Noah K. Long, IV, Matthew Long; daughter, Aliyah Long; brother, Larry Long; sister, Sonja Ellison; brother-in-law, Norman (Denise) Washington; sister-in-law, Jennifer (Robert "Pete" Owens) Washington; granddaughter, Zamiyah Long; several nieces and nephews; and host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be 11AM, Saturday, November 18, 2017, Faith Baptist Church, 829 Tilton Road, Pleasantville, NJ where friends may call from 9AM. Interment Saturday, November 18, 2017, Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville, NJ.
