Carolyn E. Bishop (Mann) of Atlantic City, New Jersey, departed this life at the age of 67 on Monday, November 6, 2017, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division. Carolyn passed peacefully with loved ones by her side.
Carolyn was born on July 26, 1950 in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Carolyn Hart and Wallace R. Mann.
Carolyn attended the Atlantic City Public School System and graduated high school. Later in life, she fulfilled her dream of returning to school and obtained her Associates Degree in Business from Atlantic Cape Community College. Carolyn last worked as a Marketing Representative at Harrah's Casino. Carolyn was a faithful member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Atlantic City where she served on the Youth Ministry.
She was an educator, motivator, and an inspiration to everyone she encountered. She was an English and History buff. Her wisdom, wit, and humor always made for great conversation and many laughs. Carolyn was a talented writer. She was most passionate about her poetry and enjoyed spending time with her local poetry group.
Carolyn is predeceased by: mother, Carolyn Hart Mann; father, Wallace R. Mann; brother, Wallace C. Mann. She leaves to cherish her fond memories: nieces, Turkessa Lee, and surrogate Daughter Shauntayia Page; nephews, Blake Doster-Mann and Daniel Doster-Mann. She will also be loved, missed, and adored by her "chosen family": sisters, Fern Perry, Cheryl Sellers; favorite cousin, Gina Stalworth; as well as other relatives, chosen family, and friends.
Funeral Services will be 2PM, Friday, November 10, 2017, Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, NJ where friends may call from 1PM.
